I am attempting to use Featureworks on a Parasolid (.x_t). The file was originally drawn in SolidEdge. The feature I am having trouble with is made by doing a Revolve Cut then a pattern. When I try to run Featureworks, it creates a flat that I can't get rid of. I'm using this simple file to learn featureworks, and this cut is prevalent in our drawings. I'm attaching views of the part (Wire Iso, Solid Iso, Face Wire View, and Wire View after Featureworks Rolled back to the Imported Body). Am I missing something?
Hello Erin,... I will not be very useful because, well, although FW can be helpful for someone who wants a quick fix.. I personally believe FW is a waste of time, sorry. (yes, sometimes it worth using but imho, it creates more work for me)
Otherwise, if I recreate this file, export as Parasolid, and Import that Parasolid, run FW.. (auto).. it does not recognize the threads.. so, if you roll back up under the Imported body,.. you should see the (4) "plugs" (image) or cylinders it added to fill the threads and it references them for the later revolve/thread cuts.... and it maybe leaving some of the cylinder face behind?
