Since doing a fresh full re-install I am unable to use my space navigator in Solidworks but it works with other software. I don't have the 3d connection in the add-ins anymore, does anyone know of how to fix this.

Look at the 3DConnexion web site
https://www.3dconnexion.com/nc/service/faq/faq/application-running-with-elevated-permissons.html
If your device is not working in a supported application this may be a permissions problem. The 3Dconnexion driver must run at least with the same privileges as the application. For this reason, if the application is being run with elevated permissions ("As Administrator") then the 3Dconnexion driver must be running with the same level of privilege.
Note that we do not recommend running our driver with elevated privileges - instead try removing elevated privileges from the 3D application!
I changed my 3Dconnexion driver to run with elevated permissons and it works
BUT they say that is NOT recommend
I am not sure how to get Solidworks to run at a lower state.
Fresh re-install of what?
SolidWorks?
3D Connexion driver?
SolidWorks and 3D Connexion driver?
You might try uninstall of the driver and then reinstall.
