Hello! Recently I've notices that SolidWorks actually converts text from curves to segments. Initially Truetype and Opentype fonts consists of curves. It doesn't depends from font I am using. Is there way to bypass this? I am making product visualization for parts with really small laser engraving on them.

Indeed after Extrude/Wrap/... commands fonts become splines but in sketch mode they look like polygonal lines (try to zoom in; and it doesn't depends on Image Quality settings). I've attached pics with top part of "7" digit from Comfortaa font (before and after Extrude).
Well, I found out that even splines in fonts are not smooth enough in some cases.
By the way how did you get that "BIRCHTT" inscription with spline nodes?
Hello Anton,.. the "BIRCHCTT" shows up as splines in my sketch/model (image) ... so, maybe you are seeing this as a low resolution (Settings/Image Quality)..or, maybe this is a export, DXF/DWG (autocad R12 or R13 polyline)??
