Sure, just upload the part after the change, and attach it to your next message. Make sure to .zip it first.
I'm not sure why it doesn't work for the .040" thicken, but it works for up to .0326"
The reason it won't thicken is probably the degeneracy. Check the faces using Face Curves. Oh, and this:
Minimum radius of Curvature: 3.93701e-007 in
Do a Tools, Check on the model, and you see this right at the degenerate point. That's your problem right there.
I hate to sound so crass, but this problem is discussed at length in my book and in some blog entries.
Thank you gentlemen!! To sum it up, the determining factor for surface thickness creation is going to be the radii of your curves relative to the interested thickness, correct? So, this is very similar to the allowable bend radii when dealing with sheet metal. Thank you all!
I'm researching about effect of new materials on bumper fascia, I downloaded one CAD file form Grabcad.com, Unfortunately, It's in surface type, and I'm a new guy in Solid Works. I trully need your help. It's always say " Unable to thicken the surface" I try many ways but it didnt work.

Thanks in advance
