Mechanical Designer

We are a small laboratory equipment manufacturer located in Broomfield, CO. Currently, we are looking for a contact Mechanical Designer with strong Solidworks expertise. You will be working with a small team to conceptualize new designs, revise existing designs, and create documentation for parts/assemblies using Solidworks. This position is a contract for a minimum term of 3 months, possibly longer. All candidates will need to pass a test assessment on SolidWorks skills.

-Foundation in mechanical engineering fundamentals and design for manufacturing (DFM)
-Ability conceptualize design proposals and communicate design intent
-Design/revise components and assemblies as directed.
-Ability to create component documentation utilizing GD&T standards, assembly drawings for manufacturing, and complete engineering change requests as needed
-Experience working in a product data management system such as SolidWorks PDM or equivalent
-An interest in and willingness to work on multiple assignments using a variety of production methods.

-Candidates should have 5+ years experience creating 2D/3D models and drawings for electro-mechanical assemblies using Solidworks. CSWP or CSWA certificates are preferred
-Demonstrated knowledge and experience of mechanical engineering/design using 3D modeling and drafting standards.
-BS Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Design, or if un degreed 5-8 experience
