In the attached image "Wrong.jpg" you can see my sweep cut results in a hole through which you can see the inner parts of the bottle.
How can I perform a sweep cut like in "Right.jpg" where there is a surface enclosing the bottom of the cut hole?
The easiest way to do this type of stuff is to model the bottle as a filled in solid body at first. Revolve the full closed profile of the bottle such that if you were to section view you would see it is completely solid.
Then do a swept cut and it will cut away at that solid shape.
Finally, insert a Shell feature which will hollow the bottle out to the desired wall thickness.
Without being able to look at your feature tree, that looks to me like a normal cut in sheet metal. uncheck normal cut.
Edit: Also it looks like "Right" is a solid, or at least thicker than wrong. Is there something else going on here that we are missing?
