i have an assembly of 3d printed parts that will need some type of lube to help the action of the assembly. has any one had experience with this?
Which material?
PLA, ABS, Nylon?
You can try silicon or Teflon (PTFE) lube.
Maybe smooth the surface with sandpaper first.
the material will be form 2 engineering durable resin. we are debating on staying away from liquid lubes so the assembly wont get gummed up eventually. not sure if that is a concern with all liquid lube.
Print a nylon pad and put it between the assembly.
Teflon tape., Graphite.
Check if the resin is compatible.
Gumming up is a collection of dust, debris with the lube.
