It did this once and it started working again when I installed SP3. I cannot select anything and I can only drop an appearance one part at at time which is ridiculously slow. Please help!
Thanks in advance,Dale
Delete all your current settings... You can blow away the folder and/or all the files...
Thanks Ron, I saw where you had directed someone earlier this year to execute the same fix and it worked for them. It didn't work for me unfortunately.
I just realized that the problem is deeper than just selection tools. No mouse oriented functions relating to the model work within the render window. I still get the "rendering paused" popup and can get the right click menus, but I cannot select, rotate, view, zoom, etc. I can switch between preview and fast modes.but in neither case can I interact with my model.
Just Visualize? SW is OK?
Do you happen to also use a spacemouse?
Which Viewport Navigation mode do you use?? Visualize or SW Cad? If you toggle those does it make any difference?
Lastly... this might sound weird but I've had it happen to me... some keyboards get sticky keys and something like my ctrl or alt key will get stuck down without me realizing...totally messing with any mouse interactions (in the entire OS...so likely not your issue but figured I'd mention)
Thanks Ron! I'm just using a plain old optical roller mouse. I checked Navigation options and apparently it got defaulted to Visualize rather than Solidworks CAD when I deleted the local and program data files. The model nav. part works again but I still cannot use selection tools.
When deleting configs, nav will go back to SW Visualize mode...out of box default...
So the selection issue.. is it any model or just the ones you're working with? If you load a sample project like the camaro, can you select models, parts, appearances there?
Thanks again Ron. That problem turned out to be the "show selection outline" checkbox in 3D Viewport settings. The only issue I am now having is Decals not showing rendered. Its a real bummer...
