I am having a new computer built for me - well, my company is having it built for me. Everything looks to be in order except for questions concerning the Motherboard.
Anyone have any experience with the ASUS Prime Z390-A motherboard?
If so, what are your thoughts?
I will be running 64 DDR4 RAM and an Nvidia Quadro P4000
Yes - I do have the i9..just received the new computer yesterday and in the process of setting it up.
Why P4000 not RTX 4000?
You're getting 64GB RAM so I assume large assemblies and heavy use.
Solidworks supposed to support it soon.
Make sure you use those M.2 slots. Get enough for all your files.
Honestly, I did not know there was a difference. When I reached out to all the big computer places, I told them what I was doing and what I was looking for. 3/4 came back with the P4000 and only one come in with the RTX. I should have done the research on it
I do not have the same motherboard, but i've read alot of reviews with it, and its a good motherboard for the price.
Will you go for a Intel i9-9900k also?
if yes, the Asus Prime Z390-A ATX 1151 is perfect for that.
For motherboards always make sure you have enough PCIe-slots, USB slots, Ram slots and M.2 Slots!
