I can not share my models.

I have a part that needs to be two interlocking. It needs to be split in two parts equally in the center as if along a path. The part has various contours, I am trying to recall how I can split exactly in the center along the contour of the part without creating a crazy mount of sketch geometry. There has to be a way, I'm just drawing a blank.

Here's is a simple example of the contour that needs to follow a path about the part, shape is reference as well.
