I have recently been having a lot of issues with flow sim in Solidworks 2016. I'm constantly receiving the "SOLVER ABNORMALLY TERMINATED! Please contact the support service". The only way I've been able to solve this, is by setting all of my bios settings to default, in turn removing all of the overclocking from my computer. Is there a reason that flow sim won't play well with overclocking?
A side note, I've also noticed that flow sim isn't intelligent enough to realize that with only one mass inlet flow that the mass outlet flow should match it... It is about 50% of the time creating thousands of kg/s of water when the inlet is set to 0.00001 kg/s and the outlet is environmental pressure. in turn creating velocities in the neighborhood of 2 x 10^9 m/s?
Just confused to why such a powerful program could have such horribly fundamental errors.
If computer is unstable after overclock, tune down the overclock.
I don't use flow but I run stress analysis while overclocked.
Sim create results according to user input. So if result is not expected, check your input.
