I have customized a BOM to match the way we work. Using the custom & configuration specific properties in the part file I have linked the BOM & balloons to the part. What I'm having a hard time doing is linking the balloon # with the BOM #. Anyone know how I can do this?

Is this an Excel BOM or a SW BOM?

For a SW BOM.....

When RMB'ing on the view you are adding balloons to, go to Properties and the make sure the Keep linked to BOM is checked. Bottom left corner of dialog box.

  I didn't explain well enough, for the parts I made there is no problem because I have a custom property PartNo, but for Toolkit parts the balloon is blank.
