How do I create prong ends for a connector?
I am trying to create a model to show the manufacturer that the ends should be formed inwards to form clipping prongs.
Making it straight is easy enough but I want to bend the prongs inwards for demonstration purposes.
Can you mode it with the straight tabs. Then suppress the straight tabs, and model in a representation of bent tabs?
Then swap between them using configurations.
first make the connector, add a configuration and make the straight pins. add another configuration and model the bent pins. then you can switch from one to the other. you might have to go and configure them, sometimes the first features you configure will appear in both configurations.
as the cad admin at a connector manufacture, this is something i have actually had to model before . i would recommend the flex feature, and configurations to show pre and post forming. 2019 example attached.
