I am attempting to set up hotkeys for common operations. But this is proving to be a struggle. For me the most common tasks are: New file, Sheet metal tab & flanges, editing sketch, save
For example. To select a sketch for editing, how do I get the cursor to highlight a sketch without using a mouse.
Like one hotkey for making the tree active, then arrow to the sketch
Then I plan to have Control-K for edit sketch.
Shift-K is my insert sketch. i.e. I decided that K=sketch, Shift=insert or add, and Control=Edit
F9 turns the tree on and off, but I don't see any options in the customize menu to make the tree active or select the tree area of the interface.
Another one I have been trying to figure out is the hotkey to say OK (Accept green check mark), no matter what is going on.
I am open to suggestions and themes for setting up hotkeys that more experienced Works people have found to work well.
I am making the transition from Solid Edge. I have used many other CAD packages over time. But this is only my second parametric modeler. This is my first time trying to set up hotkeys for a history based software.
You need to select with mouse.
Most of the time "Enter" is "Ok". Sometime you'll need the mouse to click.
"ESC" is No or exit, most of the time.
Basically the UI is different. You cannot use it like other software.
