How do I use a macro to conditionally lengthen a table and fill it with custom properties?

Would anyone be able to help me write a macro to do the following:

Preconditions: In Drawing file,

1) Insert General Table from a template

2) Add row for each custom property in referenced part file that matches a specific value

3) Populate table with custom property values from every value that returns true

4) Only add rows for custom properties that return true

I'm completely new to using VBA. I was able to make a macro that can read custom properties and return true/false if they meet the conditions, but I don't know how to work the table into this.
