SWX2018 EXTRUDED CUT... residual material left behind.

SWX2018 EXTRUDED CUT in sheet metal results in residual material left behind.

When the sketch profile is acute and the cut is through a flange that is not planar to the sketch, Solidworks (post 2016) does a funky corner treatment.

Previously SWX would just do a neat normal cut, you could then add a corner rad for optimised laser cutting etc.

While the 'optimize geometry' check box is provided as an attempt to resolve the residual material, it now gives an extra flat.

In order to apply a generous rad, face fillet function must be used, twice, once for each offending corner in the example below.

This has to be one of the most backward steps for sheetmetal product developers, that work with angles other than 90deg.

When the 'optimize geometry' is used on more complex cuts the results are pretty wacky with an un-predictable geometric result being dissolved to the point where it is unrecognisable from the intended profile

Any other users suffering?
