Hi,
I am trying to get my assembly to operate so that when the system compresses from the top plate, the 4 springs also compress with the pushing mechanism and wheels also functioning as a part of the system. Similarly, Ideally the scissor arms would also compress.
I have tried multiple ways of mating components and I have been unsuccessful. If anyone is able to guide me as to how I can successfully mate the components that would be much appreciated.

I have had some success when playing around with it again!
I have managed to get the assembly to function as intended. The only thing that I would like to try and fix now is to get the springs to function dynamically without having to rebuild the assembly each time I raise or low the 'Top Plate'.
I have currently edited the spring sketch inside the assembly to coincide the free end to the rear edge of the 'Pot magnet'.
Is there also a way to assign stiffness factors to the springs if I wanted to run a simulation?

I'm happy that it works now. I haven't work with Simulation enough to answer your question.
About the spring sketch, I think that's the only way.

when i click on the "Starting Point" mate the dimension appears in the graphics area. Now i drag the upper orange point and the plate moves (slow) and the springs changes their length dynamically. Not very fast, but without a rebuild.
If you want to set up a motion study, you have to define the springs with the given feature, because you cannot calculate the (stiff) parts themselves. Have a look at the MotionManager and you'll see...
And when you want to make a structural simulation, there is also a feature to define spring elements. You have to exclude the spring bodies from your study.

I'm a bit confused by "define the springs" do you mean that i have to import the springs as per the Solidworks function and i cannot run a motion or FEA simulation by defining the current springs i have allocated within the assembly?

You will have do exclude these spring parts from any simulation and create virtual springs with the given features, because "normally" all bodies in SWX are rigid/stiff. This is absolutely normal and same is for bolts or weldments...

I tried to open your assembly but you only has compressed the assy, not the assy with the parts. So, I can't test anything, because I can't see the parts.
You should do a pack and go, compressing all of the parts and the assembly, if you want that we can test it.
