I ran a basic comparative simulation between two thread geometries yesterday. Every boundary condition and simulation setting was identical. The only difference between the two studies is geometry. Today I noticed that the results for one of the studies shows something that looks like crack lines in the stress plot. Can anyone tell me what those are? Do they actually represent some result, or are they just random artifacts that I can hopefully suppress?
