Hey all, I'm an intern at a MechE company and I've been using the 2018 SW they provide here, however I just upgraded my laptop to an SSD and now suddenly it can't obtain a license. I slapped the old HDD back in and voila solidworks opens no problem (albeit slowly haha) but for some reason after installing windows on the new SSD and getting everything setup it just can't find obtain the license. Just wondering if there's anything I can do to remedy this on my own before I have to go bother my boss with it.
Thanks in advance!

As far as SW is concerned it's in a new computer. Assuming you're on a standalone (rather than network) license, you'll need to deactivate the license while the HDD is installed, then reactivate it once you're back on the SSD. This may need a call to your VAR (Value Added Reseller, the people who your company bought SW from).
If you're on a network license, you'll just need to configure the network license settings.
