I'm currently designing a flatbed trailer with a 2 ft dovetail. The main frame for the trailer is 6" channel. I'm trying to figure out the best/easier/most accurate way to handle the dovetail. In manufacturing, they build the frame on a flat surface, notch the 6" channel, and then bend the members down and weld them. I tried to just sketch out the dovetail and insert the weldments, but I can't seem to find a configuration of groups and trims that yield smooth transitions.
Thanks in advance!
