Hello - new user here. I would like to rotate the text in the wrap 90 degrees. Having issues, any help is very appreciated! Thanks.
Do you mean this?
You can choose sketch geometry for the text to sit on.
It says curves... but that can be a straight line
edit.. I just drew a random angled line.. hope it's obvious you'd add a vertcal relation
As a suggestion, instead of dimensions, place construction lines in your "G" sketch for the other wrap sketches to locate from.
Edit the sketch and add a construction to the anchor point.
Double click the sketch text and add the new line in the Curves box:
Show G's sketch: Sketch21.
Add another construction line to the Wrap2 sketch.
With the G sketch visible, make this line coincident to the end of the G line.
Double click the sketch text and add the new line to the Curves box.
This aligns the "ranite" to its "G" and it will tag along with it.
Open Sketch21 again and delete the Horizontal relation from the construction line and add a Vertical instead.
The "G" rotates and the "ranite" Tags along albeit horizontally.
Remove the locating dims in Sketch22. It's tied to "G".
Make sure the construction line is longer than the text, else clipping may result.
Edit Sketch22 and change its construction to vertical as well and voila:
Repeat this process for the third wrap.
Hide the "G" sketch.
Modify the dims in the "G" sketch to locate accordingly.
EDIT: Forgot to upload my part. SW2018 attached.
Thanks Kevin and Rob. Took me a bit but I understand now.
Cheers - have a good day.
