We've run into this issue a couple times. This last time I sent the issue to my VAR and eventually it went to SW. The response was "It's the section view, delete it and recreate it". Well in this case that's an issue because doing so essentially means redoing the drawing. There is apparently no "Fix" or even way to avoid it. First has anyone else run into this and or has a fix for this. Second, this is the kind of thing that drives a person nuts. This apparently has been an issue for quite some time, years, and there's no fix and possibly no intention to fix it?
Here's what it's supposed to look like
Here's what it previews and prints like. This is just one view. The lines randomly occur in other views, BOM and pretty much everywhere. They are different from machine to machine.
Interesting. What happens if you change your default printer (from Windows Control Panel) to some other printer and then in SOLIDWORKS, select File...Page Setup and select Use System Settings and then select 'Preview'? I'm trying to eliminate printer drivers as a source of the issue.
The probability of this happening to three different people without a common 'environmental' cause (drivers, templates, etc) seems astronomical.
You don't necessarily need to upload these actual files. I'm suggesting you pack and go the whole thing to give you a 'debug' copy and then start hacking and slashing. Delete components one at a time and see if the problem goes away. If not, once you are down to a single component, go into that component and start deleting features one at a time to see if the problem goes away. Once you are down to a single feature like a simple block, if you still see the bad behavior, edit the sheet format of the drawing and delete everything there. Remove all notes and dimensions and such leaving just the sectioned block with the corrupted view with all the stray lines. If you can then upload that model and drawing, it would be great. If you aren't allowed to upload anything at all, at least report back with your findings.
