How to show ScanTo3d texture

I'm trying to import a human 3d mesh model I purchased online using the ScanTo3D addon. I've saved the model as an OBJ and it has an MTL file. Opening it with Windows 3d viewer shows the model correctly with the textures. When I import it into Solidworks it comes in without textures and is the default gray. I read somewhere that the textures are only visible when rendering but when I try to render it the model doesn't even show up. If I just extrude a basic cube next to the model and render it, the cube shows up but the model is invisible. Any ideas on how to fix this?
