I've already installed SP3.0 - any idea why this notification is endlessly coming up in my SysTray?
Any ideas? This keeps popping up every hour or so and it's super annoying. I don't want to disable the background downloader entirely since it reminds me that a new Service Pack is available, but I can't figure out why it didn't know that I already installed the Service Pack. It's like there should be some bit or flag that gets triggered that didn't.
I don't know the answer to your question.....however, I have always disabled the background downloader. Mainly because it isn't me who decides what version of Solidworks I get to use.
(Edit: Yes....I saw that you didn't want to disable it.....but I figured that no one else was replying..... )
2019 SOLIDWORKS Installation Help - SOLIDWORKS Background Downloader
Yes, one less thing running in the background.
One less thing to slow down the computer or crash it.
There are enough notice on the forum when new SP come out.
