The computer is a MSI - 17.3" Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 32GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 - 512GB Solid State Drive - Aluminum black
Will SWX run on that? Yes. However, the graphics card is not on the approved list. Actually finding an off-the-shelf laptop with an approved graphics card is more difficult than I would have thought. Go here to see the official information from SWX: https://www.solidworks.com/sw/support/hardware.html#_ga=2.258082122.1387291247.1557789092-ae789e80-734c-11e9-a85f-95494069f922
My personal laptop does not have an approved graphics card and I have not had any problems with SWX (six years of use). I am not using it for any rendering. If you decide you must have an approved graphics card you can try the Dell outlet. For my previous employer over the last several years I bought refurbished units from Dell without a single problem. Though they have a very good website for configuring a computer I learned to just treat that as a starting point and to get an idea of cost. If you call you will get someone there that will really help you get a great machine and usually at a better deal.
