I usually go on the basis of - if I don't know what it is and it doesn't sound right, just cancel out of the page and try again - don't click on links.
I doubt the Forum page would have this message since they should have better protection.

Hey,
Just to clear a few things. This message is a message displayed by FireFox/Chrome/Internet Explorer when accessing a secured page(https) which the certificate has either expired or not been renewed yet.
If you're accessing the forums and see this message, there was probably an update on security certificates and it hadn't passed through yet or something along that line.

Says it's the time stamp validation between your computer and the server didn't match and that's why it returned that error.
I believe its a problem with the website's SSL certificate (probably after the forum redesign).
If the certificate isn’t set up correctly, this means data can’t be encrypted properly and therefore the site is unsafe to visit. Instead of loading the site, it will deliver an error message, such as “your connection is not private.”
There's various methods to get rid of the message, but i usually scroll down, click advanced and press proceed to [Insert website here]. Only do this if you trust the website you are trying to access..
As I said, it could be something as feeble as the clock on your computer not being synch'ed with the clock on the server. When your computer is connected to the Internet, it automatically synchronizes the local computer time with the Windows time service. However, sometimes, the system clock doesn't show the accurate time and faces issues while syncing with the network time protocol or NTP servers. This is what causes this error to pop-up.
As Frederik Herløw stated, if you know and trust the website you are accessing, then no big deal. If not, then back out and try again.
Alex,
I believe it might be the cause as the clock on my computer has not been updated for the last couple of wks
When I login, the clock showed the time when I shut down the computer. I've tried dif. ways to fix it but no luck so far. Still manually update every day - I've seen issues with outlook and skype

Hello Christian,
You should replace desktop motherboard battery, which is required to maintain its time.
Thank you - I did google and try all - Malware might be the cause?
