Hi, I installed SW on a new computer. For unknown reason, even applying color under Realview on a cylinder alone caused the program to quite for no reason and no error. Know what is going on?
Do you have a certified or tested graphics card? You can find your GPU here : https://www.solidworks.com/sw/support/videocardtesting.html
Try turning off real view, because it seems like your GPU is not supported and therefor cant run real view graphics.
I have a Nvidia GTX 1050 4GB GPU in my laptop. I followed the steps in:
and used value 30008. Perhaps the guide is not good. Any better guide?
Unpredictable instability is the price you pay for using an unsupported graphics card with SW. As to the guide, those things can be quite graphics card / SolidWorks version dependent so if you insist on going that route you may just need to experiment with different values and drivers.
There could be so many reasons that it would be very hard to diagnose without being able to delve into your computer.
If you have a VAR, either through your school or your subscription, definitely contact them.
