I'm having a problem with my drawing views not updating. What I am designing is similar to a previous design, so I opened the previous design and did a "Save As Copy" and checked the box for "Include all referenced components." I then tweaked the new design to the correct specifications and updated my drawing. I then closed the drawing and re-opened it at a later date. The OLD reference design was visible in the view, but the dimensions were pointing to the NEW design. There are no errors in the drawing or in the models.

WHAT I TRIED THAT DIDN'T WORK:

- Rebuild Button

- CTRL+B and CTRL+Q

- Open assembly and rebuild/go back to drawing

- Uncheck Automatic View Update/rebuild/Re-Check Automatic View Update

- Check for display driver (it was up to date)

- Close/Re-Open Solidworks

- Restart computer

WHAT I TRIED THAT ***DOES*** WORK:

- Change the Display Style

If I change from "Hidden Lines Removed" to any other display state, the new geometry appears. I can then change to any display state that I want and the correct geometry remains showing. The problem is that when I change back to the original desired display style and save the drawing, closing and reopening the drawing puts me back at square one; showing the old geometry.

THE SOLUTION:

Change the Display Style, save the drawing. THEN change the Display Style back to the preferred style. Save again. I couldn't find the solution online, so hopefully this helps someone who has the same problem.
