When using SolidWorks 2015, I was able to make changes to a part, and the assembly would update right along with it (with both files open), and if I didn't like where it was going, I could close the part, not save my changes, and the assembly would update to the most recent saved version when the part was closed. I've recently updated to SW 2018, and now the assembly will update along with the part again, but if I close the part without saving changes, the assembly still contains the most recent iteration, even with unsaved changes. So unless I manually go back to the part and modify it back to the saved version, I'm stuck with any changes I've made. I liked the old way better, can you help me get back there? Thank you!
