Hello,

I'm working on an Helical coil for an oil heater and I just started to calculate pressure drop and heat dissipation. Fluid (hot oil at 100F) is just entering from the bottom of the coil and is exiting at the top. I considered Heat conduction in solids and assigned Material to coil. After running the simulation I got that temperature doesn't drop for the first 12 loops, and then drastically decrease 30F in the last 3 loops. Of course this is not possible. What is wrong/missing? Any help is appreciate. Thanks.

I was able to get some improvement results for temperature. I had to manually increase iterations #. Not sure if this is the right approach.
But I was not able to understand pressure calculation. I just have an inlet manifold with a boundary condition set on volume flow rate and a static pressure boundary condition at the end of the coil. I'm getting a range of pressure from 3,000 to 4,000psi at the inlet manifold, and of course can not be true. I played changing mesh settings from 100K to 3MM, but nothing improved.
Any idea?
