We have an issue in our office where 3 out of 8 workstations will crash when attempting to open parts/assemblies on the second attempt. So, we would open solidworks and then solidworks explorer. The first item we open from the vault through Solidworks Explorer (hosted on a dedicated server in our building) will open as normal, and then the second item we attempt to open from the vault will crash solidworks explorer.
You may be wondering about drawings, well - we can open 2 drawings and then it will crash on the third drawing we open.
1 of the PCs is brand new, 1 has just been reformatted and the other is an older one. So there's a range of hardware involved, they all run nvidia graphics and windows 10. The only thing they have in common is they're sat at one side of the room. So maybe it's the network ports on that wall, except we tried plugging their PCs onto the other side of the room where we have had no issues. And it still happened.
We've attempted to contact Innova Systems (SW provider) and they're struggling to come up with anything, as are our IT department.
Anyone got any thoughts?
