I have just started to create a simple drawing. It is a closed contour involving splines, arcs and some straight lines. I tried to define the distance between the midpoint of the arc and one straight line of mine. However, after I did so, there was no error, but the midpoint that I marked was not even on the arc anymore. Here is a diagram

The arc is on the top, and the line is at the bottom.

Please help.

Hi Aaron

I see you have a sketch point with midpoint relation to an arc segment. The image you show is correct.

To put a sketch point at the centerpoint you would use a concentric relation..

or a coincident relation to the center point

But this is mostly unnecessary as the arc has a centerpoint

BTW When you add a dimension to an arc you can choose where the dimension gets attached

<edit> I think you're just a little confused by the nomenclature..

eg Here's a mid point relation on a line

and arc

Hope that helps
