a far as i know, there is no support for conversion tasks in PDM Standard!
Just a plain PDF conversion is possible.
Because PDM Standard is a "stripped" version of PDM Professional, there might be some files and folders visible, wich are not functional (but intended).

I know its a simple version of convert however I cant get it to work. Even the SWTaskAddin I am not able to add!

Which PDM Standard version you have? I remember (I may be wrong) that this option came to 2018 version.
Second is your user rights (Administrative right / Update task settings). Try to use "admin" account if adding right wont help.
I have PDM std 2019 sp2 and login to administrative tools with my admin account. I never had this issue before!
Solved! The user admin in pdm administrative tool was corrupt. Created a second vault and copied that admin user over. After that it worked like normally.
