Small business, running Windows 8, customer sends me drawings in edrawing format, I only need the viewer. I uninstalled the old version to download the new version but it is only compatible with Windows 7 and 10. Why do I need to change everything of my business just to have a free version of something? Now I have no viewer. I have spent my day researching on how to get the older version back but it looks like I am out of luck. Any help? Anywhere? Extremely frustrated!
I am going to try the restore points option first. If I were to give you the emai address would you need my dropbox email or my regular email ?

A regular email, even if it's just a 'burner' email address. Just something for you to receive the notification and link from WeTransfer that there's a file to download.
FYI, in about an hour the 3day weekend starts over here, so after that, I personally won't be able to help you until Tuesday. Would be surprised though if someone else wouldn't be willing and able to send you the install file.
Just looking for the 64bit 2018 edrawing viewer only, that's all I need.

At Downloads | Support | SOLIDWORKS , the eDrawings does state 7 & 10, but I'm found that programs for 8 into 10 are, for the most part, compatible.
Did you try to install it?
Create a restore point before you do and if the install fails miserably, then just restore Windows to the restore point you just created.

Like Kevin writes, install the latest version of eDrawings.
If you have problem with install, use Compatibility to your WINDOWS 8.
So it won't even let me get this far, once it is done downloading and almost done installing a box pops up that says "edrawings 2019 x64 requires Windows 7 or 10" and then you click ok, takes you back to install shield and you click finish and that's it.
