Error When Right Clicking In 2017 SP5 Vault from x32 Application

I first noticed this issue with Outlook 2013, but further investigation has shown that it occurs with all 32 bit applications on my 64 bit system. In Outlook, if I click on Attach File, the first thing I notice in the 'Insert File' dialog is that the PDM icons are wrong:


If I right click in the file list, a PDM error occurs:


followed by another error:



This will continue for every other add-in that is installed in the vault.


There is nothing wrong with the add-ins and they are already present on this machine; but SOLIDWORKS is insisting on trying to re-download them from the server and install them in the folder at


%AppData%\Local\SolidWorks\SOLIDWORKS PDM\Plugins\<vault name>


but failing every time.


Does anyone know the cause or how to correct the problem?
