I created a drawing of a main assembly file and it has come to 65MB, basically same size as the assembly file itself. Editing it is real slow. I’m opening it from PDM. Are there standard practices for keeping drawings file sizes to a minimum?
How many sheets and how many drawing views?
2 sheets in total.
Sheet 1: 1 isometric view
Sheet 2: 1 isometric view with some parts hidden and 2 detail views.
What hardware are you running?
Desktop is rather old. See specs below.
Have a Razer Blade laptop which altough it doesn't have a CAD graphics card, works better than the desktop when opening large assemblies, much better. However it is slow to open large drawings like the 65MB drawing.
