PDFs not opening in PDM for a user

User has Adobe Acrobat DC installed along with Adobe Reader. The user showed me when trying to open (not preview) any PDF in PDM (2018), the PDF doesn't open. No error is displayed. When the user attempts to open the same PDF on their PC desktop, it opens just fine. Any suggestions?
