Can anybody help????
I have used, in the past, the following folders on "C" drive when I had Inventor installed
C:\$WorkingFolder
Inside this folder I had two more folders, one called "Engineering Data" and one called "Content Center Files".
"Engineering Data" is the folder that contains all my projects (Assemblies, parts and drawings)
"Content Center Files" is the folder that contains all my standard parts.
Therefore, I have the following folder structures:
C:\$WorkingFolder\Engineering Data\
C:\$WorkingFolder\Content Center Files"
Can anybody tell me that the folder structure on drive "C" would be for SolidWorks?
Also,
Do I put the "Design Library" folder onto my "C" drive?
Many thanks in advance!!!!
Darren
EDITED BY MODERATOR: Moved to SOLIDWORKS PDM space. Please post to appropriate space when one is available.
In the Solidworks PDM vault you can create any folder structure you like (if you have sufficient permissions).
As for the design library, we use the default Solidworks location for the standard SW library features which should be something like this: C:\ProgramData\SolidWorks\SOLIDWORKS 2017\Design Library
We store our custom library features inside a 'templates' folder in the PDM vault. On this folder we use cache management to make sure that all users have the latest version.
But it's up to you...
