In the context of making a part, I have never been able to select a edge while in section view if the edge would be visually blocked by the geometry made invisible by the section view. Is there a magic "select edges through invisible geometry" option?

I am able to select faces through invisible geometry just fine. Below are example pictures of creating a part (Figures 1), successfully selecting a edge in a section view (Figure 2), unsuccessfully selecting a edge through hidden geometry (Figure 3).

I'm using Windows 10, SolidWorks 2017 Service pack 2.0
