Naming schemes and add page numbers

Hi guys,

here Alessandro from Italy.

I have some troubles about re-naming schemes and add the correct order number.

I will try to be more clear:

Until today I have used the #FOLIO_TAG function to assign a numbered name to all my schemes and it's look like this:

PROJECT REV0

01- XXX

02- XXX

03- XXX

...

The problem starts when I have to add scheme #4 between scheme 01-xxx and 02-xxx for example:

PROJECT REV1

01- XXX

04-XXX

02- XXX

03- XXX

...

To have correct order numbers from scheme #1 to the last, I can use the reorder function in SW electrical, but the scheme #4 will be renumbered to #2 as following:

PROJECT REV1

01- XXX

02- XXX (before was #4)

03- XXX (before was #2)

04- XXX ((before was #3)

...

The entire list of schemes will be renamed and they will not congruous with the previous revision. In this case it will be hard to manage all revisions.

So how I can solve this situation?

Hello Alessandro，

“Renumber document” is to automatically update the serial number of the relevant document, rather than sorting the files according to the serial number.This is not the same as sorting Windows files.

Hi Miguel

for an easy understanding of client , I prefer to give them a PDF book of schematics with progressive numbered pages.

It would be great if can I have a fixed name for my schemes (for example 084-USA-13.rev1) and the possibility to add a progressive pages numbering (1 of 75 in the bottom right corner)

That's because if now I add pages in the second revision, and I reordering them, all pages will be renumered with different numbers, and you can't track the changes from first to second revision because you have different names for the same scheme.

i hope i will be more clear.

Thanks Alessandro,

It's clear for me. At this moment there is no way to do it automatically. As workaround you can use the user data from drawings to manage the revisions (manually) trough the option "export to Excel".

thanks for your video, I really appreciate, but it doesn't what I looking for. Please see answer above.

I need a fixed name for the scheme and a system to numbering the pages in the bottom right.

The name and the number of the page cannot corrispond for the reason described in my first questions above.

Hope I can find a solution.
