I have created an assembly with 4 derived configurations to detail the 4 steps to build the assembly. When pulled into a drawing, the first configuration looks fine, but 2-4 look blurry and are missing their explode lines.
Do you get the same issue if you just use one Configuration and change Display States in conjunction with separate Explode Views?
As regards this way of doing it, basics first - running the correct graphics card driver?
I am not well versed in the use of display states, so I tend to stay away from. I do have the correct graphics card driver. In the past few years at this job, I have done it this way more times than I can remember, probably over a hundred. I am unclear what has changed. I have checked other models and drawing and the issue only effects this one.
Same problem if you put the model in to a new drawing?
Same problem if you put the model in to another, known-good drawing?
It may be worth you experimenting with Display States for this sort of application. If you run Performance Evaluation on a drawing it will recommend avoiding different Configs where possible. I'll admit Display States take a bit more discipline but they do have tangible benefits.
New drawing same result. Checking adding to a known good one.
Known good, also the same.
Check to see if you view is Draft Quality. If yes change it to High Quality.
Ok, they are showing as draft quality, and they will not allow me to go to high quality.
That normally means you have one component set to be shaded in the drawing view.
Were you ever able to fix this problem? I have this happen occasionally as well, and currently am battling with a drawing with this problem. I don't have anything set to shaded. My views were set to draft quality, and when I switched to high quality all the model disappeared until I hit CTRL-Q to force a complete update, but the explode line are still gone. They showed up for a minute, but the portions that should have been hidden where they go through holes weren't hidden. Any other ideas to try? My graphics card is one approved by SW.
Sorry to take so long. For me, I had to recreate the part that was giving me issues. The original was an import, but I still cannot figure out why it was doing that, and no one seemed to have an answer. I wish I could be more helpful.
