I have a few models from engineering that Im trying to render for them.No matter what I do they come out all fragmented! Is this something on my end?Is it a corrupt file? Is it a model issue on there end?
... I cant figure it out...
Looks a bit like z-fighting of congruent geometry. You may want to try going into the Model tree and hide a couple of (potentially duplicated) parts... Does that improve the results?
What file format is engineering providing to you?
They give me the pack n go and I drag the SLDASM into Visualize. They gave me 6 models and 2 of them are giving me this problem
Thank you Bastian!!!!I found one duplicate plane, and shifted some other parts just a tiny bit. still needs a little work but its looking a lot better!
I am glad it helped Kristen!
Instead of shifting the parts that are too close together, you can also try to scale the entire model a magnitude larger. These effects sometimes occur if the assemblies are very small and parts very close together.
Having Model selection mode enabled and selecting the model, see Palette > Models > Transform:
I will try that.Thank you again!
Also, engineering can save you some time by suppressing, rather than hiding, the coincident geometry.
OR you can import using Automatic mode and stuff hidden in SW will import with Opacity set to 0.0. But when you import with Automatic mode, you may have to assign appearances a bit more frequently. Shift Left Click, followed by Shift Right Click where you want to assign the same appearance is a HUGE timesaver.
this is from visualize: whenever I try to make a fast render or accurate it destroys that texture. above is in preview mode.
