How can I choose to skip the last instance in a pattern?

The issue I'm having has to do with a crate that I am making with global equations. The crate needs bracing at certain intervals based on how large it is and right now I'm stuck at a place where I have made a linear pattern to add braces to the top of the crate. In this pattern I need to delete/skip both the first and last instance. I found that if I use the delete body command, I can get rid of the first instance. But I'm unsure how to delete/skip the last instance, whether it's the 10th or the 3rd.

Can someone help me out on this?

Thank you,
