I've not tried to solve this yet - it's coming up on the to do list, but I thought it would make a nice challenge.
Here's the scenario. We have blind cuts from opposite faces of a structural member. The cuts are driven by separate linear patterns.
If and when they intersect, which only happens on occasion material should be added (5mm) at the midplane to make both holes blind and not break through.
The pattern instance and spacing for each pattern is known but the original patterns cannot be changed. Holes that do not intersect should be left alone.
My first inclination is that this may be possible using some some extra bodies and Boolean operations.
But what do you think?
