Every year, when I receive the surveys from my presentations at SOLIDWORKS World, I can't wait to read the comments. I found them extremely useful for further improving my presentations. Most of them contain constructive feedback, for which I am always thankful.
This year I was dismayed to notice that only 5 to 10% of the attendees were able to provide feedback as marks. The number of comments was even lower. The only reason for that is that people had to provide feedback on a clunky application.
I understand the reasons for cost savings, by not having humans transcribed hand written, paper based surveys, but the effect is counterproductive. As presenters, we are not getting relevant feedback from users via surveys.
- Large Assembly Performance - 2019 Edition: 358 attendees, 37 surveys, 13 comments
- Large Drawings Performance - 2019 Edition: 227 attendees, 13 surveys, 4 comments
- Interface in Your Face (hands-on): 22 attendees, 2 surveys, 1 comment
Are there any plans for making the feedback experience easier for the attendees next year?
