How to place a hole on non-planar surface on a predetermined point by using hole wizard?
You don't have to add a plane, although it may make it easier to locate the point.
Either select the surface you want the hole on and then start the Hole Wizard, in which case you will be in a 3D sketch when you select the Positions tab. Or start the Hole Wizard and then select 3D Sketch when you go to the Positions tab.
If you have a locating point already, as in the existing 3D sketch in your part, you can't place the new HW locating point directly on the existing point. One of those esoteric, not putting a point where there is already a point, SW things. Simply place the new HW point on the surface nearby and then add a coincident relation between the existing point and the HW point.
It is probably just as easy to skip the first 3D sketch and just use dimensions and relations in the HW 3D sketch to locate the hole.
You need a plane on the point.
Thanks for the explanation. It is simple.
