I am currently trying to create lofts between very jagged and rough profiles. The profiles contain x- and y-coordinate points of pixels from images, hence the grid-like dispersion causing a rough finish on the loft.
Is there a way to smooth the loft created from these profiles? Or do I need to refine and smooth the profiles themselves? The picture below shows very small ridges on the loft that I'd prefer to not be present.
I am using Solidworks 2018 and have attached the part pictured above.
Thanks,
Brandon
..another way,.. copy the sketch and "Simplify Spline / Smooth" ,.. so, you start a new sketch on the same plane as the sketch you will copy and Convert (copy/edge).. break the "On Edge" relation and RMB Simplify Spline.. and Smooth (say about 1") and further select/delete the dense knots if needed..
