Old Drawing BoM changing when opened

We have a series of older drawings created some time ago. They are currently stored outside our EPDM vault. The drawings used the standard SW BoM template file (bom-standard.sldbomtbt) when they were created. An example BOM as it was saved is shown here(Quick View):

The BoM table(s) had a number of lines added manually and were broken into multiple columns. (example: cable item at top of column 2).

When theses drawings are now retrieved into SW today the BoM changes dramatically to look like the image below. You can see it is substantially truncated! The BoM template that is being referenced (Options, BoM templates path) is now in our EPDM vault. We repointed SW to look at an original BoM template taken from the lang\English dir (restarted SW) to no avail. What can we do to restore the drawing to how it was stored? This BoM represents a lot of work and we would need to avoid re-creating the BoM. FYI: We use Toolbox for standard parts.
