I have been attempting to model the shape of Pikachu's head (from Pokemon), and have created multiple profiles on parallel planes. I also created some guide curves to further replicate the shape, however, when I attempt to loft or create a boundary surface, I get errors saying the geometry does not intersect, even though I created the sketches of the guides coincident with points on the other sketched profiles. I am wondering if there is a better approach I didn't think of or if there is something I'm missing with my current approach.
Trim the guide curve sketches so that they do not meet at the top and bottom:
Then make your loft and when selecting the guide curves, choose the 'Select Open Loop' option:
