Overridden Mass Properties not showing up in PDM Data Card

I have recently downloaded a number of STP and IGS files from manufacturer's websites and made them into Solidworks files. Several of them are surface models, so the resulting models have no mass properties. I usually thicken a random surface by 0.01mm or so, then apply a material to the file. Once there is a thickened surface, Solidworks will allow me to override the mass to reflect the correct mass. I fill in values for each of the remaining Custom Properties using the Custom Properties tab. Everything looks good in Solidworks.

Then I check it in to PDM Standard.

All the Custom Properties are copied into the data card, except the mass.

It seems that, if the mass of a Solidworks model is set by internal calculation - volume x density based on material - the mass value goes into the data card without any problems; if, however, the mass is set by overriding the mass in Solidworks, the data card shows a mass of 0.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this what others see?
